Omatic has launched the Database Champion Awards, its first customer-recognition program, alongside a redesigned website aimed at nonprofit data teams. The Omatic Database Champion Awards opened for nominations on August 6 and close August 26, 2026; no financial terms or operating metrics were announced.

The update is a routine go-to-market expansion for the nonprofit data-integration vendor rather than a new product release. Omatic’s redesigned site targets database managers, fundraisers, marketers and operations teams, shifting its presentation beyond product features toward the people who maintain records across nonprofit systems.

The company is framing the launch around the operational burden of connecting and maintaining data across applications. In Omatic’s Nonprofit Modernization Index, a survey of more than 400 nonprofit professionals, 89% of respondents reported manually moving data between systems each month. Omatic uses the term “data confidence gap” for the difference it sees between organizations’ reported confidence in data accuracy and their reliance on manual transfers.

That survey finding is company-reported, and the announcement gives no methodology beyond the respondent count. It nonetheless identifies the problem Omatic is trying to attach to its nonprofit data-management platform: organizations running disconnected systems while asking staff to reconcile information across them.

What are the Omatic Database Champion Awards?

The program recognizes Omatic customers in four categories, each tied to a different use of the company’s platform:

  • Change Maker of the Year: customers that have used Omatic for less than a year and, according to the company, have shown rapid adoption and measurable results.
  • Data Steward of the Year: customers using the full feature set with strong configuration and consistent data-hygiene practices.
  • Transformation Leader of the Year: customers applying Omatic in new or distinctive ways, including AI-powered workflows.
  • Mission Impact Driver of the Year: customers able to show documented, quantified before-and-after results attributed to Omatic.

Brian Alster, Omatic’s CEO, said nonprofits face greater pressure to demonstrate their results while relying on exports and spreadsheets for their data foundations. The company positions its integration and data-management tools as a way to address that modernization constraint.

The awards criteria put the emphasis on adoption, configuration, data hygiene, unusual implementations and documented outcomes. The announcement does not describe the judging process, prizes, recipients or a timetable after the August 26 submission deadline.

For operators, the immediate development is limited: a website refresh and a customer awards program. The more substantive element is Omatic’s use of its survey to center manual data movement as a nonprofit software problem, even as the survey result and the company’s interpretation of it remain Omatic’s own claims.
