Certinia’s Veda AI expansion adds 14 prebuilt agents and increases its library of Veda Intelligent Actions from 64 to 135, the company said in its September 9 announcement. The professional-services software vendor is aiming the release at work spanning proposals, project staffing, delivery, customer success and financial management. Certinia did not disclose pricing or detailed availability terms in the supplied announcement.
The company calls the product framework a “System of Action” for services businesses. In plain terms, Certinia says it combines professional-services, customer-success, financial-management and CRM records with work context from calls, threads and meetings, then uses AI agents and smaller reusable actions to perform or support workflow tasks.
The expansion follows Certinia’s April launch of Veda as an AI operations product integrated with its Professional Services, Customer Success and Financial Management cloud offerings. Certinia began in 2009 as FinancialForce.com, a Salesforce-native accounting and ERP provider, and adopted the Certinia name in 2023 as it broadened its focus to services operations, according to SiliconANGLE.
What does Certinia’s Veda AI expansion do?
The named agents cover a sequence familiar to services operators. On the pre-sales side, Certinia lists Deal Coach, RFP Responder, Call Summary, Call Coach, SOW Drafter and PMO Quality. The intended uses include proposal, request-for-proposal and statement-of-work preparation.
For delivery, the company names Solution Architect, Implementation Plan and Project Manager agents. For staffing, its new Intelligent Actions can turn résumés into skills profiles and present ranked recommendations during resource-reallocation work. That is a narrower claim than autonomous staffing: the announced function is to provide recommendations within a workflow.
The release also reaches beyond the core professional-services process. Certinia says its customer-success functions can summarize account health, prepare business-review materials from live data and flag ranked expansion signals. In finance, it says actions can post, cancel or reverse general-ledger transactions, allocate inventory, and create and recognize revenue schedules.
How can customers deploy Veda?
Certinia says customers can use Veda within Certinia, through Salesforce Agentforce, or through headless Model Context Protocol access in tools including Claude and Microsoft Copilot. The choice gives buyers several stated access paths, although the supplied material does not provide implementation detail for each route.
Certinia has attached performance figures to the launch, including claims on proposal preparation time, RFP throughput, administrative workload, allocation cycles, onboarding and savings. Those figures are vendor claims, not independently established results in the material reviewed. CPA Practice Advisor’s coverage confirms the scope of the announcement, but largely mirrors the company’s release and does not independently validate performance, accuracy, adoption or return-on-investment claims.
For buyers, the concrete release is the larger set of agents and reusable actions, plus broader access options. The harder questions, including which actions can safely execute financial changes, what review controls apply, and how the tools perform in production, are not answered by the supplied announcement.
