goNEON raises €160,000 from Venture Kick for AI infrastructure planning

goNEON Agentic Systems, an ETH spin-off, has raised €160,000, equivalent to CHF150,000, from Venture Kick to advance its AI platform for infrastructure planning. The round is small by venture standards, but it puts fresh capital behind a workflow that remains heavily manual in many engineering teams.

The company is building what it describes as an agentic AI system that generates infrastructure design options from engineering requirements, local rules and physical constraints. goNEON says the product is meant to support engineers rather than replace them, by producing technically feasible planning alternatives that teams can review, compare and refine.

Infrastructure planning is a slow target for software automation because design work has to satisfy technical standards, site-specific constraints and regulation. goNEON says current work still depends on manual engineering processes, fragmented software and lengthy analysis cycles, making it difficult for teams to test many project options when budgets are under pressure and project complexity rises.

The company claims its platform can let engineers generate and evaluate infrastructure scenarios in minutes rather than weeks. That claim was not supported with disclosed benchmark data, customer metrics or details on which project types have been tested. goNEON also did not disclose revenue, valuation, headcount, previous funding or the names of any customers.

The funding will be used to focus on pilot projects with the strongest commercial potential, convert repeatable planning workflows into product modules and validate use cases for a broader infrastructure planning platform, according to the company. That suggests goNEON is still in the process of turning research and early deployments into a more standardized product.

goNEON was developed by CEO Raphael Eder and CTO Dr Lukas Ballo. The company says the founding team combines experience in entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence and urban planning.

“Venture Kick helped us make the leap from research to customers. It pushed us to validate the market early, connected us with an exceptional network of founders and investors, and gave us the momentum to build a global company,” Eder said.

For infrastructure software buyers, the relevant test will be less the AI label than whether goNEON can fit into engineering approval processes without creating extra review work. The company’s stated focus on pilots and repeatable modules is a practical next step, but the announcement leaves open how far the platform has progressed beyond early validation and which infrastructure planning workflows will be commercialized first.
