ZeroDrift on Aug. 11 launched Command, a control layer for reviewing business communications before delivery. The ZeroDrift Command launch centers on AI-generated output: the company says its software can detect policy or regulatory issues, then pass, flag, block or rewrite a message before it reaches a recipient.

The pitch is aimed at a practical problem for regulated companies deploying agents and copilots. Generated emails, chat replies, marketing copy and documents can be produced at volumes that are difficult to review manually. SiliconANGLE reported that Command is intended to identify issues including promissory statements, unauthorized disclosures and references to material nonpublic information.

How does ZeroDrift Command review AI-generated messages?

ZeroDrift says the system evaluates a draft or agent response against a company’s policies and applicable regulatory requirements before the message is sent, published or otherwise delivered. Its stated workflow has four functional steps: turn policy materials into enforceable rules, analyze content, apply the resulting decision in the communication path, and retain evidence of what happened.

Anchor, the company’s purpose-built small language model, is the analysis component. ZeroDrift says Anchor checks AI-created communications against regulations, firm rules and restricted-data controls. The company characterizes the broader platform as a “compliance firewall,” a marketing description rather than an independently tested measure of effectiveness.

Command’s documented outcomes overlap across ZeroDrift’s materials: a message may be allowed through, warned on, blocked, repaired or escalated for approval. The company’s product pages use somewhat different names for adjacent components, referring in one place to Policy Studio and in another to Policy, Gateway and Command. The shared description is a pre-delivery policy check with an enforcement action and logged result.

What happens to employee-written messages?

ZeroDrift says it handles AI-generated and employee-authored content differently. It can automatically rewrite content created by AI. For a message written by an employee, it says it will not make an automatic change; the message can instead be blocked, routed to a compliance officer for approval, or returned to its author with suggested edits. That distinction could avoid silently changing an employee’s message, though ZeroDrift has not presented it as an independently validated outcome.

The company says Command is available through an API, with individual API keys associated with specified regulations and internal policies. SiliconANGLE also reported integrations with Microsoft and Google email systems through an SMTP relay, allowing inbound and outbound email inspection. ZeroDrift’s own materials describe coverage beyond email, including chat, marketing materials and documents, but those broader coverage claims are from the company.

What audit evidence does Command keep?

For developers, ZeroDrift says Command includes a sandbox that shows detected violations, proposed revisions and the changes between an original draft and a revised version. Its Activity Center is described as an audit trail that records the flagged content, the rules used and the final disposition.

For compliance and engineering teams, the central procurement question is whether those controls work with acceptable error rates and response times in live workflows.
