Mobilise Platforms & Investments, a new division of Mobilise Global, has launched with a stated plan to combine operating support, its HERO technology platform and acquisition capital for specialist telecom software businesses. The company disclosed no fund size, investment amount, named financial partners, target, completed transaction or timetable, so the announcement sets out a strategy rather than a deal.
The division is aimed at B2B telecom platforms and control-plane systems, according to Mobilise’s website. Its stated scope includes business support systems (BSS), operational support systems (OSS), mobile virtual network enabler and aggregator platforms, eSIM and connectivity businesses, plus systems for roaming, interconnect, numbering, monetisation and policy control.
Mobilise’s pitch is an integration-first route to consolidation. Rather than committing to an immediate purchase, it says it will work with a prospective business and introduce HERO as an orchestration and integration layer. The company’s published travel-eSIM example sets out four steps: deploy HERO, seek better platform and wholesale economics, collect revenue through the orchestration layer, then weigh an acquisition once operational compatibility has been demonstrated.
How does Mobilise Platforms & Investments plan to acquire telecom software companies?
Mobilise describes the unit as a partner-led joint venture. Mobilise Global says it will provide the operating work, including platform architecture, integration, productisation, delivery capability and go-to-market alignment. Unnamed aligned financial partners are intended to supply acquisition and working capital, buy-and-build support, governance and exit discipline.
That structure differs from a conventional fund announcement: Mobilise has described a process in which a commercial and technical relationship comes before a possible acquisition. It has not said whether initial partnerships will include minority investments, what valuation or ownership terms it will pursue, or how it will choose between prospective assets.
The company frames the opportunity around specialist telecom software businesses that it says are often founder-led, embedded in operator workflows and constrained in their ability to scale. Those are Mobilise’s stated investment views, not market findings independently established in the materials reviewed.
Mobilise founder and chief executive Hamish White said the unit is intended for companies with established products, customer relationships and specialist teams that need a route to growth or succession. The company says it has spent more than 20 years building and operating telecom platforms, but it has not identified the first company to join this initiative.
- In scope: BSS, OSS, MVNE and MVNA platforms, eSIM, connectivity and adjacent control-plane software.
- Model: Technical and commercial integration first, selective acquisitions later.
- Undisclosed: Capital commitment, partner identities, transactions, targets and timing.
