ResumeUp.AI launches conversational resume builder after claimed 500,000-user mark

ResumeUp.AI has launched a conversational resume builder and says it has passed 500,000 users. The company-reported milestone accompanies a platform revamp that lets job seekers create and revise resumes through a chat interface while changes appear in the document in real time.

The announcement is a product-positioning move for a platform seeking to combine document generation, application tailoring and compatibility checks in one workflow. ResumeUp.AI says the revamp replaces its form-based resume-creation approach with a conversation in which users explain their background and direct revisions.

How does ResumeUp.AI's conversational resume builder work?

Users can begin by describing their experience, uploading an existing resume or pasting a job description. The system then drafts elements including summaries, skills and achievement-focused bullet points inside the resume. Users can ask it to emphasize leadership, add a certification or adapt the document for a specified role.

The company is pairing that interface with its claim of template testing across Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS and Oracle Taleo. It also reports compatibility testing for Ashby, SmartRecruiters and SAP SuccessFactors, and plans quarterly testing. ResumeUp.AI describes the purpose as ensuring a submitted document’s information can be parsed by those systems.

The broader AI resume builder and job-search platform lists an ATS checker that provides keyword analysis and a score from 0 to 100, along with job-specific tailoring, cover-letter generation, LinkedIn profile optimization, mock interviews, resume translation in 17 languages and a job tracker with Chrome-extension application autofill. Its website also lists more than 20 resume templates and says the checker assesses grammar, keyword matching, compatibility and recruiter readability.

ResumeUp.AI was founded in 2024, according to its announcement. The 500,000-user total is the company’s own figure. Separately, the Chrome Web Store lists its extension with 10,000 users, a count specific to that extension and not a measure that confirms or contradicts the claimed platform total.
