Gatekeeper has introduced Gatekeeper Chat, MCP server support and a refreshed brand identity as it pushes its vendor and contract lifecycle management product deeper into agentic AI. The company did not disclose pricing, revenue, customer counts or adoption metrics for the new AI features.

The launch is aimed at teams responsible for vendor due diligence, compliance and contract work, areas where enterprise software buyers have been looking for AI that can act on internal records rather than produce generic summaries. Gatekeeper’s pitch is that vendor data, contract terms, risk obligations, spend and performance information should sit in one record system so AI agents can query that context across the full supplier relationship.

Gatekeeper says more than 50 agents are already embedded in its platform, covering vendor risk and compliance, contract lifecycle management, and performance and savings management. The new Chat interface lets users ask questions about vendor and contract data in plain language and receive structured answers that respect user permissions. The experience is available inside Gatekeeper and directly in Microsoft Word.

The company also launched an MCP server with support for Claude and compatible large language models. That connector is designed to let external AI tools perform live lookups against Gatekeeper data, rather than relying on exported files or static copies. Gatekeeper described the MCP server as supporting “every frontier LLM,” but did not name the full list of supported models beyond Claude.

For enterprise SaaS buyers, the practical issue is whether AI features can work across messy operational systems without creating a second compliance problem. Vendor management and contract lifecycle software often contain sensitive supplier records, obligations and risk assessments, so permissioning and data context matter as much as chat UX. Gatekeeper is positioning its unified vendor record as the base layer for agentic AI for vendor and contract lifecycle management, rather than as an add-on to a single workflow.

Patrick O’Connor, Gatekeeper’s founder and CEO, framed the announcement as a continuation of the company’s existing product direction, saying the goal is to support teams carrying vendor due diligence, compliance and contracting responsibilities without forcing a trade-off between protection and performance.

The rebrand gives that positioning a visual system. Gatekeeper’s new mark combines a shield, meant to represent protection, with a North Star, meant to represent AI guidance. The company also introduced what it calls a Unified Grid to depict the connected data and intelligence layer across vendor relationships.

Gatekeeper Chat and the Claude MCP connector are available now. The announcement did not include new funding, valuation, headcount figures or customer case studies, making this a product and positioning update rather than a financing event.
